The Florida Strawberry Festival schedule for the Musical Performances has been released and tickets go on sale December 5, 2011.
The Florida Strawberry Festival is held in Plant City each year which is just east of Tampa, FL. This year it will be held from March 1, 2012 – March 11, 2012. (more…)
Tampa Electric’s Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach, FL Opens on Tuesday

I list and sell a lot of luxury homes in Apollo Beach, FL. Often from November through April when I have a break between showings I will take a ride to Tampa Electric’s Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach.
Tomorrow, Tuesday November 1st is opening day. TECO’s website has information regarding the viewing center, along with web cams to view the manatee from the comfort of your home. (more…)

Mandatory Political Contributions

It’s funny, I have always believed that the United States is an exceptional country. I take great pride in being an American.
One of the things I have always felt was a foundation of what makes us great, is being able to contribute and vote for the politician of our choice. Yes politics has been corrupted and changed from what our founding father’s envisioned, and they are probably rolling over in their graves. They never intended for people to be career politicians or for those in Washington and their families to become rich from what is supposed to be a service to the country and its people.
Our tax laws have assured us that lobbying by companies, labor unions, associations and organizations will all vie for their share of todays taxpayers money, and of those not even born yet. (more…)
Tampa Area Housing Market Statistics (Pasco County) – August 2011

We report housing market statistics for Pasco County, which is the county just north of Tampa, FL on the east, and north of the Clearwater-St Petersburg area on the west, as a year over year number as we believe that is much more accurate to find the direction of the market, rather than reporting month over month numbers which are skewed by seasonal differences. We also only report Single Family Homes, though we are glad to supply you market statistics for townhouses and condos if needed.
